Heat Wave was created during the summer of 2026 in Bremen, at a time of constant movement and change. Built through energetic layers of acrylic and oil sticks on raw canvas, the painting embraces heat not only as a physical condition but as a force of transformation. Inspired by the South African protea, whose seeds are released after fire, the work reflects the idea that periods of intensity can create the conditions for renewal and new beginnings.
