This work is part of my ongoing exploration of the invisible line between soil and space. With Dancing on Mars, I imagine what it means to move lightly in an unfamiliar gravity — to find rhythm and balance where the ground itself feels different.

I often wonder: How do we carry our weight, our steps, our joy in a world that is spinning so fast? Sometimes I feel firmly anchored, other times I feel suspended, as if the rules of gravity no longer apply.

Living in the city sharpens this contrast. The concrete and routine hold me down, while painting allows me to leap outward, to orbit, to dance in spaces that are both strange and familiar.

This piece is a reminder to myself: even in unknown territory, we can still dance.
